What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

This site has a number of forms that collect data so that we can offer our services to you. The information you submit, as well as the time and IP number, are collected in our database so that we can contact you via the service you requested. You may at any time request that we remove the information about you, which means that we can no longer provide the service for you.

Cookies

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

This site uses two external services for analysis.

Google Analytics gather information about how our visitors use our site and our services. Google Analytics saves a cookie on your computer and collects information about how you interact with the site. This helps us analyze how our website and our web services are used. The information is then used to make improvements in the future.

Facebook Pixel, which also saves information about you and your browsing habits on our website. The stored data is linked to your Facebook account but is washed before we see it. This means that we do not have access to exactly what an individual person has done on the website, but we do have access to how different segments have used the services. We do this to be able to more easily offer our services to those who visited us, as well as to find new target groups with similar movement patterns on the internet.

Who we share your data with

We will not share or sell your data to anyone, but we use third party services for hosting and backup.

How long we retain your data

When you make a purchase on our website, we register your name, address, phone number and email address. This is done to process your order. The data is saved for ten years due to warranty commitments. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

In accordance with GDPR, you have the right to view all information we have registered about you. If it is incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, you may request that the information be corrected or removed. If so, please contact us.

How we protect your data

This page has backup of all data, and uses advanced antivirus protection. The website is updated on a regular basis to minimize the potential for data breaches.

What data breach procedures we have in place
